Neurology Second Opinions

When you receive a neurological diagnosis or face an important treatment decision, another expert perspective can help you better understand your options.

When a second opinion helps

Clarity before a big decision.

A second opinion is not about second-guessing your doctor. It is a structured, independent review of the evidence in your case so that you, and your treating team, can move forward with confidence.

  • A new diagnosis of a serious or chronic neurological condition
  • A recommendation for surgery, a procedure, or a long-term medication
  • Symptoms that have not improved despite treatment
  • An MRI or test result you do not fully understand
  • Conflicting opinions from different clinicians
  • Simply wanting more time with a neurologist to ask questions
How it works
01

Submit records

Upload clinic notes, imaging reports, test results and your medication list through secure instructions sent after booking.

02

Physician review of your history

Dr. Al-Habib reviews the full record before you meet, so the visit is spent on interpretation, not data collection.

03

Video consultation

A focused, unhurried conversation about your history, examination findings and concerns.

04

Discussion of diagnosis and options

What the evidence supports, what remains uncertain, and the reasonable paths forward.

05

Written recommendations

A summary with personalized recommendations and specific questions to bring to your treating team.

Questions patients ask

Will you take over my care?

Not unless you want us to. A second opinion is an independent consultation. We send you a written summary that you may share with your treating physician, and we are happy to speak with them if you authorize it.

Can you review my MRI images, not just the report?

Yes. Where possible we ask for the actual images (usually on a disc or via a secure imaging link from the facility) in addition to the radiology report.

What if I disagree with the second opinion?

Then you have two informed perspectives instead of one, and a clearer set of questions. Our goal is to help you understand your options, not to win an argument.

Do I need to be in Texas?

For a consultation that includes an examination and medical recommendations, yes: you must be physically located in a state where Dr. Al-Habib is licensed at the time of the visit. Families outside Texas may consider our education and care-navigation service.
